Tracy Pressley

As a practitioner, and more importantly a student, of Middle Eastern Dance since 2015, Tracy has a wide range of educational and performance experience through which she has cultivated her unique dance style, elegant and full of personality. Her extensive solo and ensemble stage experience encompasses a variety of settings including theater, festivals, restaurants, corporate and charity events, and private parties. Early in her dance career, she was a member of the Delkash Dance Company of Grand Rapids, MI under the direction of Sarah Mayne for four years. Since then she has studied with dancers around the world including Randa Kamel, Dina, Julia Farid, Camelia Masreya, and many others. Most significantly, she has trained with world-renowned artist and choreographer Yasmina Ramzy of Toronto, including membership in YRA Dream Company, workshops, personal coaching, virtual instruction, and most recently, participation in Yasmina's professional production, "The 4th Pyramid: a Tribute to Oum Kalthoum." Tracy's ongoing studies also include cultural and musical education such as a 2019 trip to Egypt, history and culture lectures, and music workshops, including classes with Egyptian drummer Hany Morgan. Additionally, she has two years teaching experience in individual coaching and group instruction settings.

Tracy is passionate about experiencing this rich art form and sharing it creatively and respectfully while having fun with her audiences. As an independent dance artist focused primarily on the styles of dance originating in Egypt, Tracy also enjoys collaborating and performing with other dancers with their own individual styles for the opportunity to learn from each other and create art together.
